RADWIN BWA System Refresh

EBDI Philippines Inc. has just completed a contract to replace (System Refresh) the RADWIN Broadband Wireless Access radio units of a major terminal operator in the country operating a container terminal in Subic Bay Free Port.

The RADWIN Broadband Wireless Access solution provides mobility solution to mobile assets such as Quay Cranes, RTGs, Prime Movers and others in real time while in motion.

The System Refresh is essential to ensure that the radio hardware and software are updated to be able to provide the Terminal a resilient and reliable wireless network connection. The original units were commissioned in December 2019. With the radio units more than 5 years of continuous operation, no single unit was reported to have failed.

The original units commissioned is composed of 4 RADWIN JET PRO Base Stations, 42 SU PRO Subscriber Units, 10 ALE Stellar Access Points and 8 units RADWIN 2000D Plus Point to Point radios. With the End of Life of the RADWIN 2000D Plus (750 MBPS), it was now replaced by the more capable RADWIN 2000E (2.5 GBPS)
